2006 marks Carolee’s Creation’s 10th anniversary in the scrapbook industry and 20 years in the craft industry. Carolee’s Creations was one of the first companies to design paper products specifically for scrapbooking. “We are now amazed at how large the industry has become and how talented scrapbookers are out there,” says Carolee McMullin. “I never would have guessed when I started, that the company would grow to where we are now. With so many products to choose from in the Carolee’s Creations line, our customers are sure to find something that fits their creative needs.”
Carolee’s Creations was founded as a tole and decorative painting company in 1986. Carolee published six tole-painting books, taught workshops at national conventions and licensed her art to publishing and fabric companies. In 1996, Carolee observed that scrapbooking was a rapidly growing hobby, and took her first step into the scrapbook world with the publication of a clip-art CD. Her daughter Georgana began scrapbooking with her grandma, and Carolee noticed that scrapbook supplies were very plain. She sketched some designs for papers & stickers and took them to a local printer. She published a catalog, attended trade shows, & her scrapbook company was launched. Carolee has more ideas and energy than ever, and now shares the operations of the company with her daughter Georgana M Hall. The company is in the process of acquiring a new name, Adornit.

Carolee’s Creations is a trend-setter and leader in the scrapbook industry, creating the latest in patterned paper (including our popular theme and word papers), laser die cuts, frames, shakers, metal accents, ribbons, cardstock stickers, rub-ons, altered art, and more. Georgana M. Hall

    I’m Georgana Hall, president of Adornit and Carolee’s Creations. I grew up in the craft industry, as my mom included me in all aspects of her tole and decorative painting business—creativity, design, tradeshows, and teaching. I guess that’s why it’s no surprise I work full-time beside my mom and do a little bit of everything here at company headquarters.
My grandma started my scrapbooking addiction when I was twelve years old. She bought me scissors, templates, cardstock, page protectors, and a binder. Every summer I would go to stay with her for a week and what would we do? Shop and scrapbook. The pages I did back then are, of course, ancient, but I never want to re-do them because I can go back and remember when and where I scrapbooked them (and I can almost guarantee we were sipping Diet Pepsi). Not only are my pages precious, but also the memories of me assembling them with my grandma. Thank-you grandma.
As I scrapbooked, my mom noticed that my scrapbook supplies were very plain. She sketched some designs for papers and stickers and took them to a local printer. Everyone who saw them loved them and wanted some for their scrapbooks. So Carolee published a catalog, attended scrapbook industry trade shows, and her scrapbook company was launched. I was by her side every step of the way.
I have been married for three years and I’m a mom to a darling one-year-old boy, Boston . We have so much fun together. As a family we enjoy spending time together, camping, four wheeling, and traveling.
